“Thank you for helping us. I am so touched that you care about our country and people.”

These words are from a Pastor working in a former Soviet Union country in which Christianity is pro-actively restrained. Two years ago, MediaServe provided 110,000 pieces of Scripture: the Star of David Bible, New Testaments, The Secret of True Life, The Gate to Life, and The Prophets Speak.

Carolyn Arthur of MediaServe recently visited this country meeting numerous pastors and believers: “I was encouraged by their dedication to sharing the Gospel and to seeing the fruit from what we have provided. Most pastors and evangelists there don’t have any other literature for outreach and discipleship.”

Most of the country’s population have been poor for many years, but following a relatively short period of economic growth there’s been a steep downturn. Many even struggle to put food on their tables. However, amongst this poverty, there’s a growing hunger for Jesus, and the church has actively responded.
